Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Zippy is currently being fostered in Houston. His adoption will be a long-distance adoption and meeting him prior to the adoption will not be possible. His adoption fee is $450USD, which includes his flight, kennel, and bed. He is vaccinated appropriate to his age, but is too young to be neutered. His adoptive family will sign a contract agreeing to have him altered at their expense once he is old enough. Because flights are so expensive, the adoption fee is non-negotiable.**
Meet Zippy! This adorable little man was rescued from a very small shelter in a small town called Cleveland Tx. He was picked up with his friend Dude, where the two of them sat for about a week before we saw them. We happened by the shelter by chance and rescued 6 puppies from different litters, all ages and breeds, and brought them home into rescue! Dude has been learning how to be a great companion alongside his friends but is ready for his new home now!
Zippy is estimated to be around 10-11 weeks of age, and is believed to be a small to medium sized breed. Since he is mixed, we think he may grow to a medium sized adult, though short, should weigh in at around 35 lbs. For his age he has large paws, and he is growing every day! Zippy has already had several rounds of puppy shots, been dewormed twice, and is microchipped and current on vaccinations and monthly heartworm/flea prevention. He is currently crate trained very well, and has already learned the words sit and no sir. He is trained on the leash and keeping up his training on housebreaking and is doing great on both fronts so far. The great thing is that he is a very young puppy, so training should be fairly easy and quick to catch onto.
Zippy gets along great with everyone, although his puppy antics sometimes get him into trouble with the adults at times. He is teething, and though has shown no signs of chewing the furniture, should always have a good sized chew or bone at his disposal at all times. He also LOVES toys of all kinds, and is happy to play and chase them anytime of the day or night! He does not cry or whine when in his crate, and makes it through the entire night from 8pm to 7am with minimal to no accidents or a sound at all. He is your typical playful puppy, looking for a home and family to raise him up right and keep him for life.
