Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT!!! Jack Needs a Foster Home!! URGENT!!!
Jack is such a wonderful companion. From hiking and swimming, to lounging in bed all morning, he is truly a versatile dog. He loves chasing a tennis ball, but hasn’t quite mastered the retrieving aspect, although he would love to learn! Jack also loves rolling in the grass, sitting in the sunshine, and hugs! He is also a big ham for the camera!!!
This three year old boy is a very trainable dog. Jack can sit, stay and come! He has spent all summer training to be a good dog – he can even walk off leash! Jack is fantastic with other dogs – big & small. Throughout the summer, he lived with eight brothers and sisters. (Including Westies, right up to a greyhound!) Jack also gets along well with cats. He doesn’t chew, or dig, and has some crate training, although he still gets a bit lonely and barks. (He comes with his crate.) Jack is the cuddliest dog out there; he loves to get under the covers and watch TV at night!
Jack is already neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He could loose a few pounds -- he really enjoys his meals -- but, regular exercise should help him get fit.
The sad part of Jack’s story is his past abuse. As a puppy, someone was very mean to him. Jack is protective of his owner, but he really loves meeting friendly new people and receiving belly rubs, ear scratchings, treats, and especially being told "You're good boy!!" As with meeting a new dog, it is best to approach Jack in a friendly 'happy to see Jack' manner to establish your intentions are to give him affection. Bringing him a treat at the first meeting is the best way to let him know you're a nice person, but you better plan on having more treats to give him!
Jack will not be adopted to a home with small children because all dogs can be unpredictable just like young children, so an older family, single person or couple is a must! Jack needs a calm and consistent environment, where he can learn to relax, predict what is going to happen next, fit into a routine, and trust his new family, and the people they allow into their home. Jack has made much progress following his intensive training program this summer. He is very receptive to instructions -- especially if the human has treats in his pocket!
Jack is considered a special needs boy due to his past mistreatment. He needs an experienced dog person who will work with Jack, be patient, understanding, somewhat authoritative to keep his attention, and mostly Jack just needs someone to be his best friend!! He is a loving dog in need of a loving home. If you feel you are the perfect home for Jack, and can provide him with a loving, affectionate and active home, please contact mabewe4paws@yahoo.com.
