My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Located in Green Bay, WI.    Please note:  Lucie is undergoing some training for her shyness and will be available once her training is completed .   This little jewel is named Lucie. She is estimated to be 3 years old, and weighs only 11 pounds. Lucie was turned in to a shelter as a "found stray" that the finder couldn't keep, but the shelter was so full that she faced immediate euthanasia. That would have been a shame, because this little girl deserves a family of her own! She would be an excellent apartment dog, or a dog for someone without a fenced yard. She loves her crate, and prefers to sleep in her crate at night. She seems to find security and comfort in her comfy "den." Lucie has not had any accidents in the house, but she is kept on a very strict schedule of potty times. She now knows the doggie door, and is going outside on her own. She thrives on a routine, and has relaxed to the point where she is playing with toys and the other dogs. She loves squeaky toys! Lucie was very nervous and disoriented for the first few days in foster care, but has come a long way. She enjoys barking at those pesky squirrels in HER backyard, and keeps them on their toes! Since she is a bit nervous at loud, unfamiliar noises, we think the perfect home for this dainty girl would be with a mature couple or single adult, with no young children.   She loves to sit by you or in your lap, but isn't a clinging vine when it comes to attention.
