Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little cutie is Betty! Such a sweet little dog. She is part Shih Tzu and Yorkie and has gray and white fur and weighs about 15 pounds. She is about 1-1/2 to 2 years old and has not experienced much in life, so she needs help being a bit more confident and learn how to really be a dog. My guess is she will truly blossom in her own home. Because of this Betty is very shy and tends to love quiet and SUPER CALM environments. She is not very good with children and runs away from them as she finds small humans kinda scary. She would prefer to live with adults. She would be a perfect companion for an active retiree, an adult couple, or a single person.
If you want to meet any of the New Life K-9 Rescue Dogs, we really need you to fill out an application FIRST. Click here to go to our application Complete each of the questions carefully, it really helps us understand you and your dog interests. We will not let anyone meet any of our dogs until we have reviewed your application. We saved these dogs so we are really invested in making sure their future families are just as committed as we are!!! We try to respond within 24 hours. (We are all volunteers and work full-time so we get back to you).
After we review your application and contact you, first we do a meet and greet with all members of your family including your dogs in a neutral place like a local park. If all goes well, we will do a home check and finalize the adoption.
We only place dogs in the Southern California area, if you are located elsewhere, please check your local shelters or other rescues that are in your area.
We charge an adoption fee of $300 for adult dog which is tax deductible. All our dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption.
