Hannah is a sweet and petite (approximately 40 pounds) senior Golden Retriever mix found wandering in a forest in West Virginia. Because of her debilitated condition when rescued, removal of a massive growth on her hind leg was the first priority for medical treatment. The mass was biopsied and the results returned indicated stage one cancer. However, Dr. Lisa believes that the mass was completely removed and the likelihood of cancer returning is remote. In addition, her ears were treated and Hannah was put on quality food. She recovered exceptionally well from this operation, UTD on her shots, and will be spayed and microchipped in the near future.
Although Hannah was shy and somewhat tentative when she first came to WAGS, her trust is building and she now seeks pats on the head. We are sure it won’t be long before belly-rubs will be next. She is housebroken and will go to the door to go out and will bark to come in. She is doing well learning to walk on a leash. Her size and calm demeanor would make her an excellent choice for a fur-ever companion with whom she can share her love.
