My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tammy who is ready for adoption to SW PA families (only those who live in or near SW PA). This sweet loving sensitive girl has been through far too much for a 4 year old. Locked in a cage for most of those year to be someone's cash breeding machine, weak muscles from her incarceration and abandoned at a shelter in Indiana, had a tumor removed from her neck, came to us with lyme disease and a UTI; yet she is the most cuddly, sweet, well-mannered girl you could ask for. The pathology report on the tumor removal said what you want to hear; little chance of reoccurring or spreading. She is almost a perfect Golden. Oh, well maybe not for couch covers that she throws off every morning so she can take her post-breakfast nap. Or the fact that she loves to rub her face on anything soft. She loves to run and play with people and other dogs. She needs a fenced yard so she can get her exercise and would be great to go on very long walks and even learn to jog with someone. She prances around the foster home looking for her pitty buddy a one year old Pit that she challenges to a wrestle every day. She is working on her house breaking and if u can spend possibly 5 days in a row with her at home it might be easily completed. Her favorite activity is people watching; she discovered she could watch people on the sidewalk if she perched partially on the radiator to look out the window. She will always need consistent eye treatments; Optimmune, saline eye washing and artificial tears for her dry eye multiple times a day. She walks gently on leash and knows a few simple but basic commands. Did I mention she is a good replacement for an alarm clock? She wakes her foster people up every morning with sweet licks in their faces! She is very timid and shy at first but after a week warms up into a loving, fun and behaved 4 year old. She loves people, kids, and toddlers and even ignores the cat! She plays with her foster peers and never causes a fuss. She needs to find someone who is home a lot or willing to put he in doggy day care, is not afraid to give eye treatments, will build up her strength with exercise and wants to show her how life can be full of love and fun. She is healthy and happy now and is ready to find her forever person or family. Contact: acwein123@gmail.com to put in an application for one of our orphans. We cannot guarantee that Tammy will still be available.
