My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bentley is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix who was rescued from a life living on a chain. His owners actually moved in the middle of the night and left him (and 2 other dogs) at their rental house. Well Mr. Bentley's life has drastically changed for the better! He is now living inside, is crate trained, started on housebreaking, knows sit and walks well on a leash. This boy is friendly and very sweet. As it turns out, Bentley is a SUPER COOL DOG! He ADORES fetch, playing with toys and other interactive games! We would love for Bentley to go to a family who wants to continue his training and even try doing agility with him! Bentley is current on vaccinations, is micro-chipped and neutered. Unfortunately Bentley tested POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORMS when we rescued him so he is currently being treated for that. He should be ready for adoption by May. However, we are taking applications now so that he can have a perfect FURever home waiting for him when he is medically cleared! Bentley is looking for a home where he will live inside as part of the family but have access to a big fenced in yard for interactive playtime! Also on his doggy wishlist is someone who will enroll him in training so he can continue learning proper canine skills and explore his athletic side. A weekly trip to PetSmart to pick out his favorite toy would seal the deal! If you think you are as super cool as Bentley, you can fill out an adoption application at www.caresga.org. We DO adopt up North so please contact info.caresga@gmail.com for details! Continue reading to see everything that is included with his adoption fee:
Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
