Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Feeling sad and lonely? Or maybe you just need a little bit more happiness and love in your life? Don't worry, we have the solution. Adopt Mush!
I am Mush's foster mom and she is one of the most loving dogs I have ever met. It is like she knows she was two hours away from being put down and she wants to let you know how grateful she is. She is so sweet that the high kill shelter she was brought to as a stray named her Sugar. We renamed her Mush because she is one big one! When she comes up to you she leans in and almost melts.
Mush was lactating when she came to the shelter so she must recently have had puppies and it was probably not her first litter. We have a feeling she was used as a breeding dog. One more thing that points to that, is that she presented with a rectal collapse after having been at the shelter for a while and this can be caused by giving birth. Now Mush needed surgery and a rescue plea went out. Miraculously Barkie's Legacy offered to save her if a foster could be found. I say miraculously because they had already rescued two other medical cases and two parvo puppies from the same shelter that week. As Mush's surgery was $1,800, I am going to take this opportunity to ask for donations as they are so needed. You can donate through Paypal:barkieslegacy@yahoo.com
Now back to Mush. she is sweet, gorgeous and happy! Loves people and when you pet her, her tongue goes in and out and she makes grunting noises. She also plops down on her back for belly rubs.

She fits in wiith our pack, which consists of young to very old and 5 lbs to 65 lbs. She has been good with the kids she has met. When it comes to cats, I am not so sure as she does have a prey drive.
She likes to go for car rides and loves to go for walks. She is a very strong girl but with a correction collar, she is easy to walk. She rarely barks and listens well (for the most part). You can do anything to her and take anything from her.
Mush is not a puppy, she is close to 4 years old. The great thing about this is that she is housebroken and does not destroy things. We keep her in her own room when we are not home and she does great. We have not used a crate with her as she does not need one. So nice!
So to sum it up, Mush is an AWESOME dog and we are so grateful to Barkie's Legacy for saving her life. As soon as I met her, I knew there was a reason for her being spared and that is, that she is going to make the person/family who adopts her very, very happy.
