My story

Meet Gunner! Gunner is a 7 year old standard size dachshund. He is a gorgeous black and tan although he is slightly underweight. He has been through a lot in the past year starting with losing his elderly owner. He will require a patient, experienced owner that can continue to help him adjust and trust humans. He has a history of biting when stressed, but with patience and continued training we have confidence he will be a great companion. However, due to this history he should not go to a home with children. He is currently doing very well in his foster home with his primary issue being that he tends to bully the other dogs in the home. However, his foster mom is working with him and he is learning what behaviors are acceptable. Gunner is also housetrained and crate trained.
