Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DAISY MAE IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
Daisy Mae is a shy, sweet, 8 yr. old, 12 lb. girl rescued from a kill shelter in Las Vegas. Her person was in the hospital and unable to reclaim her.
Daisy Mae is looking for a quiet home either by herself or with other low key small dogs, (unsure about cats.) She is cautious of people approaching her and needs someone that will take the time to let her get settled in her new home. Once settled, she will always stay close by your side.
Daisy Mae likes to go for rides in the car. She can walk on a leash, but thinks it's better to be carried. Daisy Mae loves to play fetch, so her new family must be willing to play ball with her. Daisy Mae carries around and “collects” small items. She does not chew them, just collects.
Daisy Mae has had quite a few litters of puppies in her past and we are happy now that she can retire and be the spoiled princess.
Here is a cute video of Daisy Mae playing with her ball: https://www.facebook.com/stacie.hurd/videos/1275726322442343/
Please consider giving this shy girl a new home!
Daisy Mae has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, her teeth have been cleaned, a hernia repaired, she is heart worm negative, and micro chipped.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
We do not place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.
