My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SUSIE & SIMON IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!

Simon and Susie are a bonded pair of 6 year old, approx. 13 lb. litter mates who came to rescue as owner surrenders. These two sweet griffs were well cared for by their owner. Susie is in charge of the two. Both of these dogs love and seek attention and affection. Simon’s favorite place to be is right in your lap. These two can be a bit barky with strangers and new dogs – but they are friendly and happy in general.

They get along well with the other dogs in their foster home but prefer the mature dogs to puppies. They are not fans of cats. They sleep together in a big crate and they are housebroken but need to be kept on a regular schedule.

Simon and Susie are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, on monthly preventative, and micro chipped.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

We do not place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.
