Meet Emma! This beautiful little golden ray of sunshine was found wandering the streets in a small town called Cleveland Tx. She was picked up by the local shelter when we met her. We thought her and her sister were so adorable, that we just couldn't leave them there. So after only a few days of meeting them, we rescued Emma, her sister, and 4 other beautiful pups in need. Together, they are finishing up their vetting needs and are all going up for adoption at the same time!
Emma is a younger dog, estimated to be about 9-10 months of age. When she was found, we noticed some damage to her right eye. We know there is a lot of scarring, and she is possibly blind but who knows what she really sees. We know it definitely doesn't slow her down! She is a ball of joy who enjoys all the things puppies do! She gets along great with other dogs, and learns quickly how to play with them. She adores her people, and always just wants love and attention, so not only is training fun and easy, but it's great for the whole family too as she would do great with children. She is still learning how to be with cats, but it's only because she's never really seen them. Being that she is a younger dog, we feel with continued socialization and basic training, she would do fine in a home with any other animals.
Though Emma has the coat and looks of a golden retriever, she will definitely stay smaller in size. She currently weighs around 30lbs, but we think she won't make it past 45lbs as a full grown adult. She loves to do all the things that retrievers enjoy doing like playing, going for long walks through the woods/beach, meeting everyone she can meet, and of course who doesn't want a tasty snack along the way. Emma is great for any family looking for a puppy to grow with.
Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. She is housebroken, crate trained, and currently learning how to walk better on leash. She is learning her basic commands but has already picked up sit and the word no ma'am.
