My story

ADOPTED 6/10/16

Cali is a sweet older Border Collie who is in need of a special 'forever home'. She would make a great family or companion dog. She loves people, older kids and adults, and would rather be with people than anywhere else.
Cali has impeccable house manners, knows how to use a doggie doorbell and doggie door. She is crate trained and loves her crate for naps and bedtime. She is a quiet dog and rarely if ever barks. She has no problem with cats in a home. She is also very well behaved in a car and loves to go for rides.
Cali knows all her basic behaviors of sit, down, here (come), wait and heel. She walks very politely when on leash. She loves nothing more than to play fetch and even knows some tricks such as 'shake paws'.
Cali is up to date on all shots, is microchipped, spayed and very healthy. A 'senior dog health panel' has been done and showed her health as excellent.
The only thing Cali doesn't care for is other dogs in her space. She has issues with them in small, closed off spaces such as in a house or directly in her face, has space/proximity dog issues. She does not have a problem with other dogs if outside and if the other dogs are on leash so walks and hiking with her are fine.

***Cali would do best as an only family/companion dog with people who do not have very young children and who want an already well trained dog. She would love a home with a family that wants a still quite active dog who loves to play and loves her people. Cali comes with a crate and pad, all medical records, her favorite toys, bag of her food, etc.
