Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ELSIE is a 1 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 39 pounds. Elsie is a happy puppy, she likes to get attention and play with the other dogs. She is very sweet and loves attention. If you sit down she will come and get in your lap so you can pet her better and will you kisses in return. She is learning to play with toys, don't think she has had many before we got her. Elsie would like a house with a yard that she can play in. Good with other dogs, played with several at the kennel. Knows sit, come working on down, will have a training addendum as she is young and can use some additional training. She hasn't been on lead much, getting better when walked. Pretty good with an Easy Walk Harness. Being crate trained. Elsie was found limping on the side of a road and taken to a local vet who found her leg had been fractures and partially healed. Vet was not sure how leg was fractured doesn't not think she was hit by a car as no other bruises or road rash. She is very sweet but no one has claimed her. She is approved for kids 10+.
Update: Yesterday Elsie went to Jerusalem Mills Village and went hiking on one of their trails. She enjoyed walking in the woods and and ran in the stream. She had a ball!!! She is an excellent car rider and rode with the two resident dogs on the back seat perfectly.
Update: Elsie is such a cutie and listens very well. If you let her out for potty in the morning, she will quickly do her business and then will go back to bed to let you sleep in! She is a happy silly girl, who was pleased to "help" her foster mom while making the bed. (see pictures in gallery)
Update: Elsie moved to a new foster home while her foster family is on vacation. She has enjoyed playing with the resident beagle and resident lab. Elsie took a swim in the pool with her dog life preserver on. She was so cute! Elsie is a smiley, happy girl!
Update::Elsie is a lovebug and wants to be with her people, even if it's just at their feet in the kitchen. She is goofy and thinks she's a lap dog. She loves to play inside and outside the house and would love a playful canine buddy! She is good in the crate and settles down nicely once she's had some exercise. She is very food-motivated so should train beautifully! She has a wonderful "sit" when you have a treat! Elsie walks well on an Easy-walk harness and enjoys going for walks with her foster family.
Update: Elsie is a playful girl. She loves to retrieve and run around a fenced yard. Watch her here: https://youtu.be/p7Q7LS4CMTU
Update: Elsie is a tall but petite 1-year-old active Lab who is sweet and goofy! She walks well on an Easy Walk harness & loves running laps in our fenced yard. She is very playful & high energy but loves to snuggle, too. Elsie will be a great family dog.
