My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Lucy is currently being fostered in Houston. Her adoption will be out-of-state, which means, unfortunately, meeting her prior to her adoption will not be possible. Her adoption donation is $500, which covers her flight, a new kennel, and of course she is fully vetted. Because flights are so expensive, the adoption fee is non-negotiable.**

Lucy was found following a series of storms in Houston when she wandered up on the porch of an extremely loving family. Despite trying to find where she came from, they were unsuccessful and asked if we would be able to help find this beautiful girl a new forever family. Lucy hit the jackpot with a foster family and we are excited for her to find an equally amazing forever family.

Lucy is a squatty, 55 pound Staffordshire. She is a beautiful blue girl with an amazing personality. She is currently being fostered with three young children, whom she absolutely adores. She loves to play with them and to lay out in the sun and keep a protective eye on them while they play in the yard. She is also currently living with two other dogs and has a good time interacting with them as well. Lucy would make an excellent addition to a family who wants her to be a part of all of their adventures and wants a loving companion to be a part of their lives.

Lucy is estimated to be around 3 years old and is a medium energy girl. Her ideal family would be one that will ensure her proper exercise and mental stimulation. She is an easy going girl who would make a great walking buddy for her new family. She could also likely be a good running buddy, but would need to build up her tolerance to go longer distances. Because of her size, Lucy would make a great candidate for apartment or condo life, but renters are encouraged to verify with their lease holder that there are no breed restrictions in place preventing her from living there.
Lucy has been fully vetted (vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped) and has no known health issues. She is heartworm negative and has been on preventatives while in our care.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application through our website at www.reggiesfriends.org. Please hover over the adoptables tab for a link to the application. We can generally process applications within 5-7 days and would like adoptive families to be able to take custody of the dog within two weeks of the process being finalized.

If you have any questions about Lucy or the process of adopting long-distance, please email us at adopitons@reggiesfriends.org
