Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Maya" is a sweet Abyssinian mix. She was rescued from the Mayan peninsula in Mexico a few years ago, as a spayed stray cat. She has a gorgeous coat that is silky. Maya is healthy and has tested negative for both Felv and FIV. She is vaccinated and microchipped.
Maya is very loving but in a situation like at our cat sanctuary, she often does not get enough attention Because of this, she has become more shy the longer she is here and really needs someone to give her lots of individual TLC that she craves. She would love to sleep on the bed and cuddle with you. Maya also lovesto play. Because we really want her to have a home of her own, we are offering her as a FOSTER or FOSTER- TO-ADOPT kitty. Please consider taking her into your home as a foster, giving her lots of individual care, and letting her little personality blossom again! When you foster for us, we pay for all food, litter and medical care.
Maya is okay, probably a bit submissive, with other cats. She will tolerate them but would not be a good choice if you want another cat to be a playmate for your existing cat. We do not know how she would do with dogs; if quiet and cat friendly, probably okay.
