And now a few words from me:

Hi, my name is Shiloh. I came into foster care with my brother Piper. It was discovered early on that although we were brothers, we had very different interests. I am a bit of a loner, and although I tolerate my foster siblings, I would much rather hang out with my foster parents, especially on one of their laps! Until my brother was adopted, I didn’t play with the other dogs and would bark at them, but since Piper left, I have decided that I will play with them and sometimes I actually enjoy and initiate the play! I just love car rides because they usually end up with a walk of some kind. When I first arrived in foster care, my little feet would bleed as I wasn’t used to a lot of walking. Now I can keep up without issue, and I’m learning not to pull on the leash. My foster mom says that I’m starting to use my nose a lot more and that I’m paying attention to my surroundings. It’s amazing what I can discover when I don’t rush. I am a very handsome fellow and once I get to know you, I will love you forever. I love to snuggle, and when I’m content I make the cutest little noises. I sleep very quietly in my crate at night. Once, my foster mom fell asleep with me beside her on the big bed and I didn’t move a muscle, sleeping beside her all night. I could get used to that! Because I love my family so much I want to protect them from strangers, so I have been known to bark at everyone who comes to the house. Foster mom is showing me that I can relax and that they will handle the strangers. Do you think we might be a good match? If so, let me know because I’m ready for my forever family!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Shiloh was very nervous and unsure when he came into our care. He has shown himself to be a very people-orientated little guy, once he gets to know you. If we are busy with something, he will interact with his foster siblings, but he wasn’t doing this until recently when his brother Piper was adopted. When we are all together, he can be found sleeping at my feet while all the other dogs are elsewhere. He stays very close to his people. Within the first week he showed himself to be very territorial of newcomers in the house, barking at them incessantly, along with Piper. Since Piper has left, he will still bark at strangers but we introduce him slowly and he soon comes around. Shiloh just needs time to warm up to his surroundings. He would be fine without other canine siblings as he seems to thrive on the company of his humans. He has a built-in antenna for a lap, and makes the most adorable snuffling sounds when you pet him. He will be a wonderful best friend for the right person - a true and loyal companion.
