My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET DUNKIN PUPPY!

Dunkin & his siblings were dropped off at the Adams County dog pound in the middle of the night. No Mama, no Pappa & no one to care for these little sweeties. Luckily, a Milford foster family made room for four of them & they quickly went from frightened to fun-loving. Now, they get food in their tummies & lots of love from all around.

Dunkin has a mostly black face but he has 'white shoes' on all four of his feet. Dunkin also has a strip of color down his chest. We guess him to be from mutt parentage with Labrador Retriever and Shepherd as the dominant breeds (although guessing puppy genes is like reading tea leaves!)

Dunkin looks forward to receiving huggin, kisses or attention. He loves to explore his environment & doesn't seem to mind being by himself. He's a dreamy sort of poet type fella, not all macho & crazy. Kind. A bravehart. He likes to be petted & is looking to snuggle up with a forever family (or person.)

The foster home is at a horse farm. This means he is around children, adults, barn cats, of course other dogs AND horses. He has major exposure to various species which bodes well for him & those who meet him because a socialized dog is a good dog.

If you perceive you are up to the commitment of having a puppy in your life, please contact Beckey via email. Beckey will request that you fill out an application & find out more about you & tell you more about the puppy. We want to do our best to make a good match for each one of our foster puppies.

All our puppy adopters will need to be knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) the how to of housetraining a puppy. Housetraining puppies involves frequent trips outside by person and puppy with lots of praise &/or rewards. No puppies go potty indoors for spite. It's all up to the people to teach the puppy kindly & patiently where acceptable potty spots are. And accidents will happen!

Dunkin & his siblings will be spayed/neutered the first week of August, 2008. We project that his adoption fee is likely to be $115 if all goes well with his surgery & checkup. He will be ready for adoption after his veterinary neuter/visit. Feel free to send an email with your phone contact information & details on why you want a puppy.

Thank you for looking a rescue dog.
