Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COREY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION FROM THE HUMANE SOCIETY, BUT IS CURRENTLY RESIDING IN PERRY COUNTY WITH THE WONDERFUL FOLKS OF PAWPRINTS SANCTUARY (www.pawprintssanctuary.org or 717-789-3236).
Hello, everyone. My name is Corey and I'm 13 years old. My family decided after a life of being an outside dog that they simply didn't want me anymore. They originally got me from a shelter and then they returned me to one. The young pups at the shelter told me that it takes a while sometimes to find a home, and if they have trouble, then I knew that my time would be even tougher. I was really getting depressed and worried. But that's when a wonderful rescue stepped up and said that they didn't care that I was 'old', in people terms. They said that old dogs are the most special kind of all and believed that I was a truly sweet soul that just needed a place to rest his head at night. Long story short, I've been living at the rescue ever since! I hope that a special person is out there who is willing to give a senior dog a try. The staff tell me that I have a very nice personality, which is nice to hear. I like other dogs and am living with a whole bunch of different sized ones right now! I am already neutered, housetrained, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I love my walks, but am not a crazy leash-puller, like some of those young whipper-snappers! I do not have any health issues to speak of: I take a 1/2 a Rimadyl a day for my joints and am happy as a clam in all other respects. If my story strikes a chord with you and you would be willing to teach an old dog new tricks (or just to have an old dog around for company), please call me today!
