Hi, everyone! My name is Duchess, and I am only 1 year old. I was living in a shelter that didn't have any more room, and so I wouldn't be able to stay much longer. The shelter staff and volunteers believed wholeheartedly that I am a very fine dog with lots to offer, so they worked very hard to find me a home, even a temporary one. Lucky for me, I found a foster family who is raising me right and will keep me until I find my forever family. I am 45 pounds of good attitude and love. I grew up with other dogs and kids before I came to the shelter, but then I had puppies and the landlord said that we all had to go. So my family brought me and my pups to the shelter. I'm living with other dogs and kids in my foster family, and I also go jogging with my foster mommy....it's so fun! I've been waiting and waiting for someone to notice me, and it just hasn't happened. I am housetrained, spayed, up-to-date on my vaccines and am a perfect pet candidate for someone who has never had a dog before because I'm so easygoing. Please give me a chance....Virginia may seem far away from you, but it's not too far to go for the right dog!
