Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING Hi! I'm Jade, and I epitomize what pit bulls are all about: a strong, loving connection to people, an often comical personality, and a passion for life. Mal-adjusted pits are those that the public hears about on the news: the source of dog attacks and problem behavior. Those pits are raised to be mean and portray all pit bulls as vicious. In actuality, most pits are like me: true lovers who would make great family pets and friends.
I was left behind when my owners moved. I had been bred repeatedly and then tied up outside when I didn't serve my family's 'purpose' any longer. I was then taken to a shelter where I lived for 4 months. The animal control officer there was just in love with me, so when space ran out, she tried very hard to find a safe place for me to go. Luckily, she found one. I am now in a foster home in PA.
I am about 2 and a 1/2 years old, 45 pounds, spayed, housetrained, cratetrained, microchipped, u-t-d on vaccines and on HW preventative, as well as flea/tick preventative. I love all people, including the smallest kids, and I am good with laid-back dogs and puppies (I like to be 'the boss'). For the first time in my life, I've discovered toys and I love them. I particularly love hard bones and my flying squirrel toy. I am also a fantastic car rider, and enjoy snuggling and walks. I am also a quick learner. Although I enjoy playing and exercise, I am also a fantastic napping buddy and enjoy a deep snooze on the couch.
Some people have told me that my eyes are the most expressive they've ever seen. When I do something that I shouldn't (which isn't very often), my eyes get really big and sad, because I want to make everyone happy. Sometimes my eyes get really big if I am scared, because even though I look like a tough girl, I actually have a very sensitive side. And when I'm really happy, my eyes get big in that wild and crazy way and I smile.
Although my foster parents love me, they are hoping that a good home will step up to adopt me soon. A home with kids would be great, because I love them so much. Won't you consider meeting me? I am such a good girl and have so many endearing qualities. I promise to do my best to please you.
