My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

J.R. is a delightful 15-pound, black poodle mix with a little white beard. At age five, J.R. was rescued from a neglect situation after having lived his whole life in a backyard with little human contact. After six weeks of care, including vet treatment, grooming, socialization, and love, J.R.’s foster mom reports that he is a completely different dog. He is confident around humans as well as dogs of all sizes. He has adapted to household routines very well, especially considering how he spent his first five years. J.R. is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and receive belly rubs. He is learning to play with his foster siblings and with toys. J.R. is crate-trained and housebroken and we believe he would do very well with children. If your family is looking for a lovable, even-tempered guy, then J.R. might be just the dog for you!
