Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ceasar had a very rough start to life. He was put through some hard stuff for his whole life as a pup until he came to ASF at age 2. Due to the long term situation he was in his fight(not flight cause he couldn't leave)mode. When he came to ASF he had no interest in people didn't trust a soul and was very reactive. Especially to new people entering the house. Since he's been in our home he has grown to trust us to the point if we accept a new person into our home so does he. He has figured out what toys and love are. He enjoys throwing balls for him self and cuddling right next to you. He is not overbearing and doesn't like to be squished,so he will lay near you but not squish you. He knows many tricks such as sit, stay, lay, bow, spin, and shake. He is food motivated but we're working on doing tricks just on voice command, which he isn't very happy about. He is not the kind of dog you can take anywhere with you due to his past he doesn't adjust well to new situations. He can do well with other dogs but he is dog dominant. We have two dogs he didn't fight with our small female. He fought with our large male but after the first fight it was done and they are best friends now. He is cat friendly. He should not be around children just cause of his stranger fear he exhibits at times. He is nothing but loyal. This dog would protect you with his life. You can't take him everywhere, but he will love you. He gives kisses if you kiss in his face. He follows me everywhere. He takes to women faster than men. Caesar needs a strong leader due to he is smart and dominant so he can rule the roost of you let him. The first 4 months or so are hard with Caesar, because he reverts to not trusting new people in the home other than residents of home. He does come out of this but could take months. He is well worth the work he has such great manners and his love means so much more than a dog who kisses every person he sees, because he is so selective. He's a character can be sassy barking when you don't give in to him. The perfect home for Caesar would have a fenced in yard as he doesn't do well at dog parks, but walks great on leash. It would not have a lot of members living there for him to get adjusted to. It would have no children and little traffic. Right now he lives with me, my boyfriend, and our 2 dogs. We have visitors rarely and when we do he does great but again that's after having him for 6 months. He needs to continue training in his new home and someone who is willing to push through for a wonderful outcome!
