Crate trained: Not necessary since she isn’t destructive & house trained. But she has been crated in the past and will bark if left in there for any period of time, otherwise she is relatively quiet.

Personality: A complete lap dog and loves attention. Would do great in a home where someone is home a lot and spend lots of time with her. She enjoys going everywhere you go. Happy and easy going, but is anxious and nervous around younger children. Pearl loves being cuddled and petted.

Grooming: Pearl was just groomed about 2 days ago. She is a breed that will need regular brushing with grooming every 6-8 weeks.

History: Pearl was a breeder dog, surrendered to us by her breeder who retired. Not your typical breeder of living outdoors, she was his pet. She recently whelped and weaned a litter of puppies, was a great Mother to them and so accepting of us handling her puppies. She is AKC registered but these papers will not be extended to her adoptive home since we’re rescue.
WE DO REQUIRE A HOME WITH NO SMALL/YOUNG CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12. Someone who is home often is best suited for Pearl. We don’t feel she needs to be left alone in a home all day while everyone is away.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process, so emails are much preferred. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. We do NOT adopt to families with animals which have not been spayed/neutered.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, an adoption contract to be signed, and there is an adoption fee to be paid. Adoption fee is $450
All adopters must be 21 or older. Once the preliminary application is approved a home visit is required to complete the adoption process. All adopters must enter into a legal and binding contract upon completion of the adoption.
