My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOUIE
11-13 year old male
Let's give a warm welcome to the newest member of our BTRSS family, Polo, now named Louie!!!

A Good Samaritan just wanted to save Louie from a high kill shelter where he was found as a stray, and asked for our help with his care and in finding him the perfect home for the remainder of his golden years.

Louie is a senior at approximately 11-13 years old, but don't let those numbers deceive you! Although he has some physical ailments, his spirit is strong and he has a lot of life and spunk left in his little body! He is a small boy weighing 38 lbs, and has recently been neutered. Louie has bad arthritis in his elbows and hips and is a bit unsteady and wobbly when he walks. He also has cataracts so he doesn't see very well. We are treating an ear infection, and his teeth could use a good cleaning. We've had him fully vetted and he does have some renal insufficiency, but all to be expected for his age. He has a little growth/mass between his right front toes which looks benign.

Louie is a lover and just wants to be around his people. He is happiest just laying by your feet or next to you on the sofa. He is potty trained but because he drinks a lot of water, he does need to be let outside every 4-5 hours. Louie is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night. Louie is ok with kids, but we would prefer Louie to be the only pet so he can have the undivided love and attention of his human parents.

Louie has the heart of a lion, a tough little guy with a zest for life. Because of his age, we are waiving his adoption fee; instead, his future family can make a donation for any amount of their choice. We just want to find him a loving home where he can live out the rest of his life surrounded by love, pampering and attention that he so deserves.

If Louie tugs at your heartstrings (like he does ours), please fill out an application for him online now!
