Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Luna is a very loving sweetheart of a dog, who was originally adopted out from Oakland Shelter last year. Sadly her owner had no experience with the breed, and misunderstood Luna. Luna did two week board and train at The Dog House Inn, where she sailed through with no problems. Loved everyone and other dogs. We believe it was her former owner's frustrations and lack of knowledge and leadership skills, that led her to surrender Luna to the Santa Cruz Shelter. We are so grateful that she called one of the trainers at DHInn to let them know where Luna was. Had she not done this, Luna would have been another statistic of a misunderstood Staffie, whose life would have been over.
Between DHInn and ACGSRescue we fought to save Luna's life, the shelter was adamant that it was better to euthanize her, than to let her go to a safe place where she would be happy and cared for. Why this precious sweet dog should die was beyond our comprehension, she did not have a mean bone in her body, she had never caused any harm to anyone or another dog. All we can say is thank you to the shelter for recanting their decision and allowing ACGSRescue to take her under our wing. We were all relieved and could finally relax to know Luna was safe.
If you love the Staffie's/Pitbulls and have experience with the breed you will truly love Luna, she is very well behaved, enjoys going in the car, loves to be with people. This time around we want Luna to go to a home that will be her forever home, where she is truly loved and adored and part of the family. Luna is a
