My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Merlin. I love people and other dogs, but it just takes some time. I am a very shy boy who is trying to overcome the hard life I have had. I have been with my foster for a little over a year – she says that I’ve become quite the rambunctious guy. I haven't been around cats, but I can tell you that I have been known to chase a squirrel or two in my back yard. I was very proud of myself when I caught one! My foster also says that I would benefit from obedience training to help me learn some additional manners. That's okay with me, because I'm very smart and eager to please. I'm crate trained. But I’m not quite ready to run free in your home without supervision. Honestly, I'd rather hang out in the yard because there's more to see and smell there. But be warned, I love to jump! I will jump a fence if I am left outside for too long. If you think you might want someone like me – and you have time and energy to spare – give my rescue a call so we can hang out!
