ADOPTION PENDING

Hello, my name is Venus and I am a gorgeous 4 year old spayed female red/orange sable Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (56 lbs). I've been selected to participate in the nationally recognized training program the New Leash On Life (NLOL). I am already house trained & my education will focus on further crate & leash training as well as some impressive obedience and agility training! We are a few weeks into our education, and my trainer says that I am an intelligent dog who is attentive & engaged in my training. Sounds good to me! Can't wait for our Graduation Ceremony on June 1st!

Now, I feel very lucky to be part of the NLOL program since the reason that I am available for adoption is because I was surrendered to the Havelock shelter (along with Dave) by our previous owners because they were moving. Let's just say that neither of us want to ever be abandoned again, so our forever person(s) should be responsible loving folks who are ready for a dog who could live another 10+ years. :)

Okay, now that we have that out of the way, some fun information about me! I play well with other dogs, enjoy being around children, and I don't seem to mind cats. I am very well mannered, with medium to low energy (a loving Teddy Bear) who would fit nicely into a family! After a walk, I really love to hang out with my special person(s)!
