My story

Meet calm, friendly, VERY wiggly and happy Kovu! Kovu is a very gentle soul who is here to make your heart melt and your life happy! Kovu has been trained by female inmates in the Utah Department of Corrections through Canines with a Cause. His prison training covered many aspects of socialization, basic manners and obedience, including sit to greet a person, sit to go through a door, crate training, house training, sit, down, down-stay, and loose leash walking. Dogs from the prison training program also receive appropriate veterinary care, are neutered, and current on vaccinations. Kovu has been fostered with a home with young children and cats, and he gets along fine with other dogs. He does suffer from the occasional limp but regular veterinarian checks and x-rays have shown no bone or joint issues, so it is probably a soft tissue recurring injury sustained during play. And boy does he love to play!
