Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful, petite little calico lady is named Tilt-a-Girl (aka ClaraBelle). She was found right before Christmas wandering in an open lot in Philadelphia. A kind woman scooped her up and set out a distress call for a foster home. Luckily her foster mom is a huge sucker for poor baby kittens stuck out in the cold - and answered the nice woman's email. Even luckier still, The Philly Kitty graciously agreed to sponsor her vet care. That's how Miss Tilty became a TPK kid. She spent almost 4 months in her foster home, getting bigger and stronger every day. As you have probably guessed by now, Tilt-a-Girl is named so because of her head. It tilts ever so slightly to her left side. The tilt itself has even diminished a tiny bit as she's gotten older and healthier, but we're pretty sure what she has now will be permanent. The tilt is likely the result of a previous inner ear infection when she was very young that went untreated. It's also very likely that the infection rendered her completely deaf. Another special thing about Tilty is her tail - when she was learning and growing and being a crazy kitten, she somehow broke her tail near the base. You'd think a kitty with so many æissues' like these may be resigned and skittish - but NOT Tilt-a-girl! She is the belle of the ball and all about attention, love, pets, play and snuggles! The vet checked our girl out and said her tilt causes her no pain, her ears are clear with no sign of infection, and while her tail is fractured, it no longer causes her pain and she may start to regain some movement in it as time goes on. Even her foster mom has seen it swish this way and that when the little minx is feeling particularly sassy. This fantastic, wonderful little kitten is now spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed, and ready to find her forever home. She'd be perfectly happy in a home with or without other pets - as she's fine with the kitty and canine companions she lives with in her foster home. She's also been living in a home with a 2.5 year old toddler, and a 11 month old baby. She's used to being petted and loved on. While she's not the happiest about being picked up (because her center of balance is shifted due to her tilt - she gets uneasy about being lifted), she could live perfectly happily with kids who understand that one boundary she has. Tilt-a-Girl is a model-kitten-citizen, and can't wait to wiggle herself into your heart.
