Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Webster!!!
Chihuahua/Papillion mix
1-2 yrs old
Webster is a handsome young man who arrived to Safe Haven Dog Rescue from Alabama. He had a difficult life before he was rescued but his foster mom has been working hard with him and he has overcome a lot of those difficulties.
Being a Chihuahua mix, Webster has a spunky little personality and is sure to let those who are new to him know that HE is in charge. If you are patient, he will certainly come around and come to be your best buddy quickly. That being said, he may not make the best first impression on people, but he is quick to turn into your best friend.
Webster loves to cuddle or be held and sit in your lap. He also loves to sleep with his people. Webster loves to play and gets along great with other dogs. We are recommending that Webster find a family with no children or older teenage children.
Webster prefers females over males, but as long as you approach him with calmness and show him you will be gentle he learns to trust you. Webster is housebroken but will need someone home often to let him out.
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
