My story

Julia is a 'New Leash On Life' Program (NLOL) GRADUATE! Julia is a beautiful, ~1 1/2 year old Plott Hound/Beagle mix. Did you know that the Plott hound is the state dog of North Carolina? Yes, it is true and Julia is such a credit to the breed!

Well, Julia is wonderful with people & other dogs, and does not seem to mind cats. She really is the perfect size (~ 40 lbs) to be part of an active family. Julia is energetic and would be an ideal walking, jogging, hiking, and perhaps boating partner. One of Julia's favorite activities is a great game of fetch! In fact, several of her profile photos were taken during a fun game of 'fetch' as well as showing her 'sit' commands along side her fellow graduate, Chad! She is respectful of everyone & is a very sweet girl who exudes LOVE (just look at those eyes and her beautiful coat). Although, it would be good to keep an eye on her her around small children simply because she is such a boisterous, happy girl!

Simply put, she greets everyone (especially women) with a wagging tail and dancing feet! She especially plays well with the larger dogs in her group, but is a bit of a ‘tomboy’ for the smaller, less self-assured dogs. Her trainers have noticed that she is very noise sensitive, particularly in an unfamiliar environment. Such a lovely girl. Are you her forever humans that she's been waiting to finally meet?
