Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We adopt only in the Greater St. Louis Area.
Rainey is one of the most delightful little corgis that we have had come into rescue. She can be timid and shy at first, but once she knows you, she very much wants your attention and affection. She will shower you with kisses, just to let you know that she thinks you are the best human ever. She loves curling up on the sofa, with her head in your lap for a relaxing evening. She also likes taking walks and loves to stop and smell the world around her. She is an expert critter chaser, chasing everything from birds to squirrels. Inside, she is a lovely, well-mannered companion. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and will also wait patiently in another room while dinner is being prepared. She sleeps very quietly in her crate at night, and will let out just a little “woof” when everyone stirs in the morning. She does well with other dogs and has warmed up nicely to the kitties in her foster home. Rainey would do best with another friendly dog in her forever home, as she can be a bit submissive at first, and could use another dog to help show her the ropes in a new environment.
From time to time, Rainey experiences some sensitivity around her neck and shoulder area. We believe this came from an old injury. A number of tests have been performed, including seeing a specialist. When the issue flares up it can be managed by pain medications and visit to an animal chiropractor, if needed. Despite this issue, Rainey runs and plays just like every other dog and she would love nothing more than to provide unconditional love to a very special family.
Rainey is spayed, on heart-worm prevention, micro-chipped, and up to-date on vaccines. For more information call 314-422-2350 or email corgisandclaire@gmail.com. WE DO NOT ADOPT TO HOMES WITH SMALL CHILDREN OR ELECTRONIC FENCES.
