My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy is a friendly adult Italian Greyhound. She is white and blue in color with a wild Irish pattern which means she has random patches of blue throughout her body, rather than being spotted. Gypsy likes to cuddle, but like many female IGs is a little more shy but loves attention. She enjoys laying on the couch watching tv with you. Gypsy is kennel trained, but doesn't have much experience on a leash yet. She is a healthy eater, and maintains her figure and weight around 12 lbs. She gets along with the other dogs in rescue well, and is somwhere in the middle of the pack in dominance. Gypsy is already spayed, and up-to-date on shots so she just needs the right home to come along.

Gypsy, Turbo and four young puppies all made it to rescue via a Boxer rescue in Rapid City, SD. The former owners are believed to be in a nursing home or hospital and the dogs needed somewhere to go. Breeders in the area were trying to get the dogs, but fortunately we ended up with the family of six. After a few weeks of trying to get transport, they found their way to Lincoln where they are currently being fostered. Local adoptions are preferred.October 23, 2024, 12:07 am
