My story

Hi world! I’m Sadie, a four-year-old big beautiful Great Dane. My girl has gone away to school and apparently it’s hard to take a big girl like me in a situation like this. My grandpa is just not home much and thinks it would be best for me to find a new family with time to dedicate to me. I am a wonderful girl who is smart as well as beautiful! I’ve had some schoolin’ and know not only voice commands but some hand commands as well. I have to admit I am a little rusty on some of these, though. I’m not much of a toy dog, but I do love treats! I have a security blanket that I love to cuddle up in. Oh, and I also love to cuddle up with my grandpa’s jackets if he leaves them where I can reach them! I’ve been an only dog but am good with other dogs; at times I can be indifferent toward them. I am also good with kids and have been around a cat. I am, however, pretty protective of my home. My grandpa says I can be intimidating when new folks come to my house, but I just want to make sure they know not to mess with my family! Once I know they’re okay, we can be friends. I live inside with my current family so I am house-trained and I like to go for walks so I’m good on leash. I need to finish getting vetted so my adoption fee will be $200 due to costs for a big girl like me. The rescue helping me find a new home requires an adoption application and contract, as well as a meet and greet, vet reference and home check to make sure I go to the right family.
