Tucker needs a forever home. We rescued him from the Garland Texas Animal Services at about 3 months old. He was so quiet in his cage and so adorable. We just couldn't leave him there. We rescued him and brought him home. We had him fully vetted shots, neutered, micro chipped, heart worm test and monthly Trifexis. Since then we have house trained him, he sits on command and will even sit to wait for his food until you say 'go'. loves to play fetch especially with squeaky toys and is super fond of laundry baskets with a cushy blanket in the bottom. However, my daughter (who has learning differences and is going through a very difficult time right now) has begun to swat him in the face. She is not hitting him hard, but hitting and yelling never is never okay. This is unacceptable and his behavior is beginning to change because of it. He is now not getting along with my Border Collie, Hank. To complicate matters, Hank has a mass cell tumor and needs surgery right away. Keeping the two of them separated is stressful enough without adding the surgery and resulting need for a fundraising indoor sale to raise the funds. Therefore, We have decided to try to re-home him. He's a beautiful puppy; a 5 month old Cattle dog. He's very smart (like opening doors smart) and thus needs an owner who is willing and able to challenge him, keep him busy, make him feel he has a purpose. He responds very well to training and already knows sit, wait/go for his food, how to catch a treat, fetch, and how to open doors. He is potty trained and has been around cats. He walks well on a thunder leash for me. If you would like to me this wonderful pup, please call 214-769-7677. A re-homing fee is being asked.
