Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Brin! I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound and purebred Friendly! Plott Hounds are the official State dog for North Carolina. My foster family thinks that’s a cool deal and tell me I am wonderful. I don’t remember hearing that much before, but I’m trying to believe I’m a good girl. A lot of things scare me so trust is a big deal, but I’m learning to hold my head up. The foster family likes me to be tail-wagging happy and I’m trying hard to be brave and please them. If I ask real sweetly my foster mama holds me. She says 2 years olds should have lap time. I love lap time!!
I’m a home-body and don’t run away. I like toys and treats and playing with dogs my size, but I’m respectful of the two grandma Chihuahuas in my foster family. They like to be the boss and that’s okay with me. I’m careful not to step on them.
My foster family says I’m smart but that no one has taught me manners. A couple of times I helped myself to treats on the counter so now when the foster family goes away for a while, I go in a kennel. I like my kennel because it is my very own space. They let me out as soon as they get home and everyone is happy because I didn’t steal anything. We go outside right away and I take care of business and then we play! I’m proud that I don’t have accidents in the house anymore. Yes, I am smart and I know I could make you proud if you take me to school.
My foster family is nice but I need a forever family.
Do you like car rides, and sleeping in the family bed? So do I - - How about that!!! We could be family!!
Are you interested in adopting Brin or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Brin.
Thanks for thinking adoption!
