Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a hunka chunka manly cat? Meet Chip - or Chipmunk, because THOSE CHEEKS! And yes! He's such a sweetie, he'll let you squeeze them! Ooooh, and those shoulders! He's fabulous. Loving yet mellow, simply stated - Chipmunk is a fabulous cat!
Chip came to us to recover from entropion surgery (his eye lashes were rolled in onto his eyeballs). Until his surgery, the vet thinks it was unlikely he has been able to open his eyes since he was a little kitten - if ever. Can you imagine that pain? Amazingly, despite having suffered for so long, he can see just fine and he's a sweetiepie who just wants to be your friend. He'll sit happily with you and purr away as you watch TV - oh that purr!
Chip tested positive for FIV, which means he must be a strictly indoor-only cat. - he has a weakened immune system so he shouldn't be exposed to outside "cooties." He can live with other cats, positive or negative, as long as they are not aggressive and they are gradually introduced. Chip gets along with other cats but is not around dogs in his foster home. We are willing to provide potential adopters with current information on FIV and co-housing positive cats with other cats.
And - when we have a big handsome male like this, the answer to the questions people always want to ask: Yes, he uses the litter box; No, he does not spray. He is such a good boy and we look forward to finding him a home.
