My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THE FIRST STEP TO OUR ADOPTION PROCESS IS COMPLETING OUR APPLICATION AT WWW.SUNSHINECANYONDOGRESCUE.ORG/APPLICATIONS. Our adoption fee is $395. This includes spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing and covers transport/foster care costs! We allow payment plans on a case by case basis.

Hannah was surrendered to a high kill shelter in TX. She was defeated. Hannah was very underweight (has gained 10lbs!) and dehydrated and didn't know why she was being surrendered. We looked into her eyes and saw a sweet soul and knew she had to catch a freedom ride to Colorado! She has been here for about a month, gaining weight & confidence! Her foster says, and we agree, that Hannah is ready to find her people!

This is what her foster says about her:

Hannah is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. She can be a bit timid at first, but after a few minutes she is your best friend. She loves to cuddle on the couch with you and snuggle up and sleep along side you for the entire night. Hannah has never shown any form of aggression towards people or dogs since we have had her. She loves kids and she loves other dogs, but I would say she is more of a people dog than a dog’s dog. Hannah has a knack for making you feel safe! She will make herself known to anyone that comes to or around your home! She came to us house trained and has never had an accident in the house, but we do give her the ability to go outside whenever she needs to. Another thing I noticed is that she doesn’t run away when she isn’t being walked on a leash. She knows her name and comes when she is called. She knows basic commands: sit, come, up, down, inside, outside, go bye bye. Hannah will need a comfy place to sleep at night whether that be your bed, a love seat, or a plush dog bed on the floor. Hannah can be a nervous chewer so a dedicated hip bone or joint, for her, would be a great idea! Something she can nom on while you are away. Hannah can be very playful and likes to chase tennis balls, but she’ll need to work on bringing the ball back if you want to play catch with her. Another activity Hannah enjoys is sun bathing! She also enjoys going on walks and hikes. Hannah does pretty well in the car. Especially if there are other dogs there with her. At heart, though, Hannah is a lap dog and she will forever try and sit in your lap wherever you are and wherever you are going! She is a sweet the bone dog who deserve a sweet, loyal, and loving family to cherish her for the rest of her life!
