Bonded Pair
Natasha (formerly Bambi) and Rosco originally came to SHRF from different shelters some years ago, one in 2008 and one in 2009. They both were adopted by the same family. One of their humans has since passed away unexpectedly and the other has more recently fallen on hard times and unfortunately found herself in a position where she is no longer able to care for them Since Natasha and Rosco have spent well over seven years together they have formed a strong bond, what’s known as a “Bonded Pair” and are dependent on each other for companionship. If at all possible, we would strongly like to see them adopted together as being separated at this late date in their lives may be traumatic. They also have been through a few unhappy changes over the past year and keeping them together is very much in their best interest.
Natasha
Natasha is a beautiful Husky lady. She is very well mannered and easy to handle (less stubborn than her adopted brother Rosco). She gets along well with other dogs and follows commands nicely. Sweet Natasha really enjoys playing with her toys and is great at catching.... be ready to work those arm muscles entertaining her. She loves meeting people everywhere she goes and takes any opportunity to say hello.
Natasha has a tendency to keep Rosco in line by bossing him around from time to time, typical sibling relationship. He is not allowed to play with her toys and he is respectful of that, except on the rare occasion when he is successful in stealing one away. Natasha loves a good scratch and belly rub. It is easy to find her favorite spot where she will get her hind leg going acknowledging how much she is enjoying it. Natasha is crate trained, but is not destructive and would prefer to be close to Rosco and her humans. She also walks well on lead.
Natasha is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
Rosco
Rosco seems to bond quickly with men. He is very sweet and loves attention. He even has a bit of a sense of humor at times where he enjoys playing “catch me if you can” in the yard with his people friends as well as Natasha. When out in the yard, Rosco has a tendency to dig from time to time. He has retained one bad puppy habit in that he has an unusual fondness of paper. For some reason this silly Husky likes to chew on it. Aside from that he is the quite the gentleman as long as he feels you are his pack leader.
Rosco is crate trained, but does not need it. He walks well on lead but will pull on occasion if something catches his interest along the way.
Rosco is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
