Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi!
I'm Hallie. I'm a 10 month spayed female Sheltie mix. I am 20 pounds. I am a very affectionate girl and love to please! I can sit, stay, lay down, "sleep," and wait. I am crate trained and house trained. I grew up with cats as a puppy, so I am OK with them. I have had a wonderful 8 months with my current family. They taught me tons, and I even got to go on a road trip with them. I am super loyal and really look to my family for guidance and reassurance. Thus, I am not a "beginner's dog," but would love someone who has a bit of training and behavior knowledge under their belt. My mom got me with the intention of doing therapy dog work with me, but I don't love strangers petting me, and truthfully, I wouldn't really enjoy my job. My mom and dad want the best for me; after a lot of hard thinking, they very sadly decided that their situation is not what's best for me. They love me so much and want me to go to someone who is going to spoil me and love me forever like they do. I need slow introductions with new people, as I am timid. Mom and dad have been making positive progress on this score, but I am still pretty unsure of things. For this reason I don't think I would enjoy a house with young children or a very active household with visitors coming in and out throughout the day. I do bond very quickly with "my people”, and would be a wonderful companion pup. I also love other dogs especially dogs who are my size or smaller and who like to play. When I play I’m very vocal, as are most Shelties. I would make a wonderful companion dog, as I love to just be with you I love walks and hikes, and I won't leave your side, I promise! Please contact mikelamontshelties@gmail.com for more info. PLEASE NOTE.... I'm being fostered in the Philadelphia, PA area.
Hallie will need a secure fenced in yard for her safety. NO EXCEPTIONS.
