My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stewie is a sweet senior dachshund that came into rescue because his family had to move where pets were not allowed. Stewie is 13 years old, weighs 17 pounds and BONUS he has no teeth so no dentals. Of course he will still need an oral check each year with his annual exam. Stewie can eat dry dog kibble without any difficulty, but it would be nice to soften it with a little warm water for him. This nice sized dachshund enjoys leashed walks which is a good thing because it would be great for him to lose 1-2 pounds. One of Stewie's other favorite activities is taking a nice sofa nap lying especially next to his person. He gets along well with the other dachshunds in his foster home as well as all adults he has met. At times Stewie will bark to remind you he is still around if he thinks he is not getting enough attention. He does like being in his person's general vicinity and will whine just a little if his person goes off where he can't follow.

Overall, Stewie is a great companion, he is house trained, crate trained and likes care rides. Stewie's ideal Colorado home will be free of young children, hopefully will have a fenced yard and with luck someone that is home more than gone.
