Beau has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!


This handsome fellow is Beau, a beautiful pearl tricolor. He is just under 3 years old, is approx 12' tall and 12 lbs. He is very quiet and gentle, moves quietly through the house and does not bark much. He likes to be near his people but is not intrusive. He will lie nearby but not demand to be in your lap. He displays no aggression, but is sensitive to loud barking by another dog or people yelling loudly. Beau was part of a family of 4 dogs surrendered by their owner to a shelter. He takes some time adapting to new situations and people but once he is comfortable he is loving and friendly. He is well-adjusted to ordinary household noise: vacuum, dishwasher, TV, etc. Beau is house- and crate- trained. He rides quielty in the car and is learning some basic commands. He will bark at cats but is easily called off. He gets along fine with the other dogs in the house and though he is tolerant he is not interested in playing with the canine youngster. Beau will make an excellent companion in a quiet home as the only dog or with an older dog for company without play. Please see more photos of this beautiful boy!
