Pippa…Sittin' Pretty

8/ 13 update on Pippa. GREAT NEWS!!!!!!

The prework at UTK for livershunt surgery indicated Pippa is a very good candidate for surgery (with good prognosis). The blood work also indicated that she needed to be 'built up' for a few weeks before undergoing surgery, so she is on a special diet to get her blood chemistry levels where they need to be. Pippa will be having follow up blood work shortly to determine if she is ready for the surgery or needs another couple weeks on her special quality diet.

Tiny Pippa is a little sparkler! You would never know when you first see her that she has a serious condition. Pippa has a liver shunt and will be going to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville to have surgery the end of July. Once the surgery is completed, her outlook for a normal life is very good.  Because of the liver shunt, she also suffers from bladder stones. We hope this sweet baby will be feeling a lot better soon.

She's 2 years old and only weighs 6 pounds. Her body is quite long…11 1/2 inches neck to tail... her head and features are very petite.

Pippa is very animated! When she wants attention, there is no way to ignore her insistent squeak! She loves to curl up close to you at night and sleeps all night long without interruption.
Pippa is working on her house manners but isn't completely house trained because of her bladder stones causing frequent urination. She has been wearing very stylish panties that hold a pad. Most mornings, she wakes up dry..So she's trying!
Pippa needs all the angels she can get to donate toward her surgery. And she needs a loving family to care for her afterwards. This precious little girl is sittin pretty in Chattanooga waiting for you to find her.
