My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cricket. She is an extremely playful, very social 10-month-old maltese.
Cricket is Pee-Pad trained and is working on her obedience training. She has already learned to bark when someone comes over. She loves to snuggle and gives lots of kisses.
She doesn't chew on furniture, but is more than willing to steal things off the coffee table if it is within her reach. She loves other dogs and loves to play with them.
Cricket has lots of energy, so she will need a fenced yard where she has plenty of room to run. She is very quick!
Cricket needs a home where her parents understand her medical needs. She has multiple hepatic shunts, (a liver deformity) that will require lifetime care.
She is not allowed any type of medication that is metabolized in the liver, so this will require awareness. She will also need to take supplements and be on a special diet in order to ensure a healthy life. Her ideal home will be willing to work closely with a vet who understands liver shunts, so a good vet reference will be required for her adoption.

Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.
