Here's little Lucas! He is a 2 year old chocolate and white rat terrier/chihuahua mix who is 9 pounds of playful joy. He was found as a stray, and spent several months at a shelter. Even still, he is so sweet and trusting, and loves to be cuddled. Lucas is house trained, crate trained, and likes to ride in the car. He hasn't shown interest in cats, and is friendly to the children he's met. He has been friendly and curious in meeting dogs introduced to him. He's doing well learning leash commands, and responds well to food rewards. Lucas was born with luxating patellas in his rear legs, so his gait and stance are a bit different than other dogs. His condition isn't painful and doesn't require correction, but he prefers soft surfaces, as it's easier on his joints. He runs and plays like any other dog, but takes time to negotiate stairs and jump onto furniture. He doesn't mind being carried up the stairs, and it's a great chance to snuggle with this happy little guy. Make sure you see his album for more pictures!
