Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asher is a handsome, engaging and energetic Labradoodle that came into Lizzy's due to illness in his family. At 13 months, he is all puppy whose middle name is "play with me." Asher loves to run in the yard, wrestle with his canine pals, jog or hike with his person, or simply walk around the neighborhood. He is good on a leash and has learned some basic commands. However, he is still a puppy so he does need more training. He has good eye contact, listens well and is responsive to correction, especially if there are treats or simply praise as rewards. So his training should be a breeze. Asher will need more attention to his housetraining, which is good, just not perfect as yet. He is, however, very well crate-trained.
Asher meets other dogs, large or small, very easily with appropriate manners. He greets people appropriately as well, but can seem a little distant. While he loves to cuddle with other dogs, he is less likely to snuggle with people for very long. He does prefer to be in the same space with his person, but just isn't as interested in cuddling right now. Once in a stable home, he will probably learn to love the close contact with his family
.
As you might imagine given his age and breed, Asher loves to counter-surf...and he is good at it. He has no hesitation to inspect whatever is happening on the counter whether it is unattended or not. If possible, jumping on anything to get a better view is also the norm for him at his young age. He doesn't chew much on random items around the house, much preferring a squeaky toy if available. He is good in the car but is afraid of balloons and bicycles.
Asher is looking for an active family with lots of love who can give him the security, attention and training he needs to become a wonderful addition to any family.
