Stella placed out Christmas 2014, but returned to us today through no fault of her own. Her adopter didn't feel that she could give Stella and her son, Herschel enough time, and said that their housebreaking had suffered. Herschel is about 6 years old, and a very petite girl. She's only about 10 pounds at the most. She is at the Sanctuary with her son, Herschel, and if possible we'd like to place them together.. They are both extremely friendly and well socialized, both with people and with other dogs. Her interactions with cats are as yet unknown.
Herschel and Stella may or may not be 100% housebroken, but they are up to date on shots, and altered. They don't seem to be overly inclined to random barking, but they will let you know if anything out of the ordinary is happening.
They love snuggles, blankets to burrow in, and lazy days around the house, but they aren't couch potatoes! They do have some energy to them, and they like to play tug and fetch.
Due to their very small size we would prefer a house without very young children, but are willing to evaluate on a case by case basis.
Because they have been together their whole lives we would prefer to place them together, but may consider a separate placement for the right homes.
If you're looking to bring some love that may need a little work into your house, please contact us about Herschel and Stella.
