My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizmo is approximately 1 year old.

Gizmo is the perfect all around girl…! If you want to play, she is ready to GO! If you want to chill on the couch after a long day… hey, that’s ok too! She is the right pup for every mood! She will cock her head with those funny ears perked up and as if to say… “ok, I’m ready…what’cha wanna do today???” Gizzie is crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash and knows basic commands. She is a bit rusty on ‘sit’, but for a treat will plop right down! She also loves for you to throw balls, sticks, etc ….but had rather you chase her instead of bringing it back to you. Kinda funny the way she plays a game of ‘fetch’… You have to wonder who is actually doing the ‘fetching’…

A.W.O.L. Rescue is located on the outskirts of Dallas Texas. The dogs/puppies were pulled from shelters in surrounding areas that were due to be euthanized had we not taken them in. It is our mission to place all of our ‘rescues’ with sound, loving homes. There will be an adoption application which must be completed and approved before adoptions are final. All of A.W.O.L’s rescues are fully vetted before adoptions. All dogs/puppies will be current on shots, worming and will be spayed/neutered before going to their forever homes.
