Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Churchill
Breed: Old English Bull Dogge
Gender: Male
Age: 3 yrs
Neutered: Yes
Meet Churchill, a handsome loveable goofy adolescent bulldog with lots to offer. Church is a people dog all the way, and loves meeting new people, snuggling with people, walking and running with people, and playing with people. He needs some work with his leash manners, and he's quite strong, so he needs someone who can handle him on leash. He has some tricks up his sleeve: he knows how to sit, lay down, shake paw (both paws!), and sit nice. He is eager to please and wants to learn more! He would definitely benefit from an owner or owners with good dog-training experience to help him learn where to direct his energy. Luckily he is very food-motivated, so with some good consistent training, there's no telling what he could learn!
Church is a teenager with a lot of energy and needs access to a space where he can run and play to burn that energy off. He is not good with other dogs and has demonstrated dog dominance/aggression on a few occasions, so the dog park is out. His future owner/s will need to commit to working hard with him if they plan to socialize him with other dogs.
Church is fine in a home with cats as long as the cats can communicate their boundaries and have a safe space to retreat to. He has not been observed to be aggressive with any people, however, he can sometimes be a rambunctious 70-lb goofball, so smaller people might be at risk of being knocked over. With some good training and discipline, he will be able to learn how to relax when company comes over.
Most of the time Church is happy to lay around on the couch, snuggle with you while watching a movie, or just hang out. He does need owners who have the time and patience to work with him when he's excited to teach him how to calm himself down, and who can dedicate some time to helping him get some good exercise.
